Stop at the first safety threshold
If a life-critical item fails, halt the check and log the fault before substitution. Moving too quickly through this stage is a false economy.
Assign roles for replacement and verification
One person records the fault, one person sources replacement options, and one person confirms readiness before departure. This avoids two people doing the same follow-up and missing the actual confirmation.
Record a clear go/no-go outcome
A departure decision should be a sentence, not a paragraph: ready, delayed or no-go. Include the deciding reason and who confirmed it. This protects the group and prevents scope drift.
Debrief only if time allows
After departure, a short debrief note on what changed and why is enough. Keep it practical so it is reviewed for next booking, not archived and forgotten.
